Method
- Add the oats, chia seeds, maple syrup, and salt to a jar or container with a lid.
- Stir in the Greek yogurt, if using.
- Pour in the milk and stir thoroughly, making sure no chia seeds are clumped at the bottom.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours, or overnight.
- In the morning, give the oats another stir and add any toppings.
- Eat cold, or warm briefly in the microwave if you prefer.
Notes
Scales easily — double or triple ingredients for meal prep, keeping the oats:liquid:chia ratio the same for every jar. Store in a sealed container in the fridge for 4-5 days. Add wet toppings (berries, banana) fresh each morning rather than mixing in ahead of time to avoid sogginess.
